Sfera Trap is a luminous chromotropic glue trap for harmful flying insects. Thanks to its nighttime brightness, it is active day and night and can capture flies, mosquitoes, horseflies, stable flies, fruit flies, wasps, hornets, lepidopterans, etc., both indoors and outdoors.
In the context of proper insecticide control, Sfera Trap is ideal in both agronomic and civil settings, where infestations of harmful insects threaten gardens, crops, and livestock. In addition to its very attractive yellow color during the day, its main feature is nighttime brightness, provided by a battery-powered LED, lasting about a month (with the LED on day and night). Its best uses are both indoors, such as stables, milking rooms, greenhouses, food grain storage warehouses, etc., and outdoors, protecting orchards, olive groves, vineyards, gardens, campsites, country houses, etc.
IMPORTANT: The Trap Sphere in the apiary is used to reduce the pressure of bee predators (European hornet, wasp, and Asian hornet) in front of the hives, without the internal LED support
It should be positioned from when the pressure of the Asian hornet increases (usually in the summer months) until the end of summer, using a protein bait.
Assemble the two hemispheres and cover the sphere with transparent film like Domopak, or plastic wrap for packaging, or disposable shower caps. Then apply insect glue.
